Add-Meta-Tags is a great plugin i use on this site:
http://www.adverfix.com/

It automaticaly adds meta tags (desciption and keywords) to your wordpress site.
It's doing the task beautifully and seamlessly.

The auto tags are taken from the content of each article.
You can manualy adjust and change every parameter yourself.
